| Latest News At the Appalachian Celtic Festival and Highland Games William Wallace broke the World Record WOB U200 40-44. Wallace had a throw of 16' 6"... Upon successful completion of throw we stopped all competition of A's, B's and Masters and had the AD Justin White, Festival Director Richard Ball, Buck Buchanan, and Robert Blackman confirm measurement with additional tape. We measured both sides and middle of bar and found it to be 16' 6.2"... We then retired the weight and I had it verified by UPS Store to weigh 42# 3oz. We documented all measurements and took photos of all measurements. We weighed Wallace prior to event and of course the Wiry Scotsman only weighs 186#... It was quite a feat and recognition should be given to William Wallace. |
